“You know what’s crazy? This is word to everything I love,” Cam’ron prefaced. “Last month, they called me to see if I wanted the key to the city. I said, ‘I don’t want to be involved with nothin’.’ They offered me that sh–. They said, ‘Cam, you want the key?’ I said, ‘That ain’t really up my alley right now, I’m cool with the key to New York City, man.’” He added: “Yo, word to blood. That’s word to everything I love. ‘Yo, Cam, you interested in the key to the city?’ What does that get you, though?”
Mase then asked if it was Mayor Adams who called and asked specifically, with Cam clarifying that it was actually the mayor’s office that hit him up. Cam again asked, “What does that get you?” before alluding to the time Diddy received a key to NYC from the mayor (which he eventually was asked to return), telling Mase, “I don’t want nothing to do with keys to the city or the n—as givin’ them out, the n—as who had previously had them. I don’t got nothing to do with the key to the city. I don’t got nothing to do with that,” Cam laughed. “I actually got to go to New York this weekend for about 20 minutes.”
Mayor Adams recently hired defense attorney to the stars Alex Spiro to help him fight five federal charges that he’s been charged with.
