After BLINKs sniffed out a possible Valentine’s Day surprise two weeks ago when BLACKPINK’S JISOO shared a cryptic teaser hinting at a mystery project coming in February, the singer confirmed their suspicions on Sunday (Jan. 26).
The long-awaited details of JISOO’s debut solo mini-album, AMORTAGE, came in an Instagram post featuring the full roll-out plan for the effort. According to the schedule, the album title poster will drop on Jan. 31, followed by the first glimpse of the actual album cover the next day and a second cover reveal on Feb. 2.
From then, it’s a whirlwind of notable dates, including the first chance to pre-order the EP (Feb. 3), the debut of the title poster and track list the next day and a series of daily concept image reveals from Feb. 5-7. The slow-leak roll-out will then pick up the pace with a track spoiler slated to drop on Feb. 10, a video teaser on the 12th and a music video poster on the 13th.
And then, finally, on Feb. 14 Jisoo has planned a “special event” to celebrate the project’s Valentine’s Day release date. Additional posts teasing the album seem to unpack the album’s unique title, revealing that it is a mash-up representing “a montage of love.”
JISOO began teasing her solo return earlier this month via a six-second clip of what appeared to be a lie detector needle going into overdrive while scratching out frantic patterns on graph paper, followed by the album’s romantic release date. JISOO made her solo debut in 2023 with the singles “FLOWER” and “All Eyes on Me,” but AMORTAGE will represent her first full project outside of the group, following on the heels of solo efforts from members LISA, JENNIE and ROSÉ.
