Yulia Lundy Is Turning Dreams Into Reality

Where the Journey Began
For some artists, music is a career. For others, it’s something much deeper. It’s a part of who they are that refuses to disappear, no matter how much life gets in the way. For Ukrainian-born singer-songwriter Yulia Lundy, music was never just a hobby. It was part of her identity long before she ever stepped into a professional recording studio.
A Passion That Started in Ukraine
Growing up in Ukraine, singing was woven into Yulia’s everyday life. She spent her childhood performing on school stages, practicing constantly, and traveling between cities to compete in music festivals. Creativity came naturally, and songwriting arrived early. At just 12 years old, Yulia wrote her first original song in Ukrainian, marking the beginning of a lifelong relationship with music.
Starting Over in America
Then life changed.
After relocating to the United States, the realities of immigration, paperwork, and everyday responsibilities forced her to put music on hold. The transition left little room for creativity, and what had once been a daily passion became a distant memory.
Even after stepping away from music, Yulia never gave up on the idea of returning. That determination eventually led her back to the studio, where she began writing and recording again, turning a long-awaited dream into reality.
Returning to the Studio
Two years ago, Yulia made the decision to return to the studio, partnering with a production team in Las Vegas to bring her ideas back to life. The comeback was immediate and productive. Within six months, she completed her debut EP, blending elements of pop, techno, and house music into a project that reflected both her European roots and her new chapter in America.
Today, Yulia splits her time between Las Vegas, Nevada, and Breckenridge, Colorado, balancing music creation with the demanding work of building an independent career. Beyond recording new material, she’s focused on growing her social media presence, connecting directly with fans, and steadily expanding her audience one release at a time.
Creating Music With Emotion
Yulia believes every mood deserves its own soundtrack. Whether life brings joy, heartbreak, hope, or uncertainty, she believes every experience can inspire meaningful music.
After stepping away from music for several years, returning to the studio reinforced the importance of believing in your own path, even when life takes unexpected turns.
“People have many opinions. But if you follow too many opinions, you can lose yourself.”
For Yulia, staying true to yourself is just as important as developing your talent. She encourages aspiring artists to trust their instincts, continue learning, and never lose sight of the passion that inspired them to create in the first place.
Her journey is a reminder that dreams don’t have an expiration date. Sometimes the road takes longer than expected, but perseverance, authenticity, and the courage to begin again can make all the difference.
Climbing the Radio Charts
As Yulia Lundy continues releasing new music, she’s also beginning to gain recognition on the radio. Her recent releases have earned Top 10 placements across multiple independent radio charts, marking another milestone in her growing career.
For an independent artist, consistent radio support can be an important step toward reaching new listeners and building momentum. While Yulia remains focused on writing and recording music that reflects her own experiences, her growing presence on the charts suggests that audiences are beginning to connect with her work.
Looking Ahead
Her latest release, a remix of “Changing Now,” arrived just a month ago as she continues writing new music and expanding her audience across social media.
For Yulia Lundy, this chapter isn’t about making up for lost time. It’s about moving forward. The dreams she carried with her from Ukraine never disappeared. They simply waited for the right moment.
Now, with new music, a growing fanbase, and a commitment to staying authentic, Yulia is writing the next chapter of her musical journey, proving that some dreams are simply worth waiting for.
Exclusive Interview
Following our feature, Yulia Lundy shares more about her journey, creative process, and the experiences that continue to shape her music.
Where Are You Now?
Right now I live between two states, Las Vegas (Nevada) and Breckenridge (Colorado).
Why Did You First Start Making Music?
My first song I wrote when I was 12 years old, in the Ukrainian language (I speak Ukrainian and Russian). It’s expressing yourself, your thoughts, and your emotions. I was so proud when I made my first song. Later, I went to the studio and recorded it.
What Is Your Stage Name and How Did You Come Up With It?
My real name is Yulia Lundy. Sometimes it’s just YULIA.
Have You Heard the Theory That Some Musicians Write Their Best Music While They’re Depressed or Going Through a Bad Time?
Yes, I heard that. Almost everyone in life has hard moments from time to time. I think if you’re sad, then you’re writing sad music. If you’re happy, then happy music. And we need all kinds of mood songs. That’s good.
What’s the Best Advice You Ever Received?
Opinions! People have many visions and opinions, but stick to your own, if you’re listening and following many opinions you can lose yourself.
What Is Still Your Biggest Challenge?
Rap. I speak three languages, and rapping in English is extremely hard for me. I really can’t talk fast. That’s why I’m making songs in pop or house. Maybe someday I’ll record my first rap song.
What Do People Say You Sound Like?
I have a clean voice, and I can take high notes as well.
What’s Your Best Advice for Handling Criticism?
No argue!
Work with people. Try to collaborate with them. For example, if some musicians don’t like your music, ask them if they want to go into the studio and create a beat together.
What’s Your Latest Release?
One month ago I made remix of “Changing Now.”
What Is Your Favorite Song to Perform?
I like song “G-Wagon.”
