Kai Cenat had a great time at the Grammys and now he seems to be buddies with Jay-Z.
The popular streamer recapped his experience on Twitch and talked about meeting Jay-Z and Beyoncé for the first time. “I go up to Jay, I say, ‘What’s up, bro?’” Cenat said before giving their oldest daughter a compliment. “Blue Ivy is going crazy— she watches everything. I said, ‘Shout out to you, you’re doing amazing.’”
He then claimed Jay gave him his number and that Beyoncé paused a conversation to shake his hand and to pay him a compliment. “‘Nice to meet you, you have beautiful energy,’” he said she told him. Cenat then added that he couldn’t believe the interaction actually happened. “This is fake. I don’t know what’s going on no more,” he said. “This sh—t so crazy, bro. … It was so crazy that Blue Ivy knew exactly who I was.”
Kai will have another busy weekend ahead as he’ll be playing on Team Bonds during the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game on Valentine’s Day opposite his boy Druski who’ll be playing on Team Rice.
Kai meeting The Carters is fitting, being that he has become sort of a “king maker” when it comes to rap music and pop culture these days, something that we talked to him about in our Jan. 25, 2025 cover story. His coverage of the Drake and Kendrick battle was also mentioned in the Toronto rapper’s UMG lawsuit and Ye photoshopped a horse into Kai’s streaming den to promote his upcoming album Bully.
Kai, the King Maker, indeed.
