Today, we teamed up with the talented artist Bassi Boss for an exclusive interview:
What is your stage name and how did you come up with it?
My name is Bassi Boss of the west coast phenom Neck of the woods ENT.
Why and when did you first start making music?
I had always told myself if i got the chance to rap I’d go crazy when I finally got put in a stu I was like f*** it I’m going ham I love hip-hop and am highly blessed with the resources to do it. Haven’t stopped since been blessed to keep going.
What would you have done differently if you knew then what you know now?
Be patient allow things to fall into place on the right timing and stay encouraged enjoy life and enjoy the process.
Who would you say inspired you the most, as an artist?
Ice Cube, 3,000, Jay-z, Wayne, & and DMX. I love the energy X bring, the swagger Jay carried, the griddy deliverance and versatility of cube, the sonics of 3 stacks, and Wayne well he wayne so thats enough said.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received about your music?
Thankfully I get a lot but I am very appreciative every time I do get one and they tell me keep going as well. It make me feel good about my music thats huge to me.
Do you remember the first rhyme you wrote?
Nah but I do remember the first song recorded it was called day in the life. My first song I liked and thought was decent was a song I recorded called Rick James.
What’s the best advice you ever received?
Be you stay unique innovate the game yo own way.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I make hype music fun music truth music. I make music that make you feel and wanna dance at the same time.
Do you have a mantra?
Day by day to see a better day
What’s the coolest, most important show you’ve played to date (the kind of show you’d like to play more of)?
Opening up for Waka Flocka that was hands down the most turnt and kind of shows I like doing.
