Lil Wayne is stepping back in front of the camera with a brand new weekly show that’s about to change how he connects with audiences beyond just dropping music.
The Joint Venture Show launches July 22 on YouTube and other platforms, marking his return to the podcast space after his successful run with Young Money Radio on Apple Music.
This time he’s bringing sports talk radio veteran Craig Carton into the mix, and the chemistry between them is already electric before the first episode even drops.
Wayne’s approach to this whole thing is refreshingly honest.

“The best podcasts feel like you just kicking it with your people, talking the same way you do when nobody’s listening,” he said. “Ima light one up with the homie Craig and we gonna talk our s### about whatever the day brings. You never know who’s gonna pull up or where the conversation’s gonna go.”
Wayne’s got serious hosting credentials that most people sleep on.
He spent years building Young Money Radio into a cultural moment, bringing together everyone from Eminem to Kevin Durant for conversations that felt genuine and unscripted.
That show proved he knows how to sit down with people and let conversations breathe naturally, which is exactly what The Joint Venture Show is built on.
He’s been a regular fixture on NFL GameDay Morning over the past couple of seasons, showing up every Sunday to talk football with Rich Eisen and the crew, and that’s where his real passion for sports commentary shines through.
The format is simple but effective.
Wayne and Carton will record episodes after his shows wrap up, sitting down with special guests to break down whatever’s happening in sports, music, and pop culture that week.
They’re hitting Fanatics Fest on July 19 to record a live episode with Eli Manning, Amar’e Stoudemire, and Darrelle Revis, which gives you an idea of the caliber of people they’re pulling into these conversations.
According to Deadline, the show is produced by Magilla Entertainment, the same company behind Peacock’s O’ahu Shores and Discovery’s Moonshiners.
Carton said there’s nothing better than swapping takes with Wayne on everything from sports to pop culture, and that The Joint Venture Show gives them an excuse to keep doing what they’ve been doing for years while bringing famous friends into the mix.
