Keefe D’s jailhouse call proves he wrote the book prosecutors are using to bury him in the Tupac murder trial. (127 characters)
Keefe D caught himself in a trap that prosecutors are now using to dismantle his entire defense strategy before his murder trial even started.
In a seven-minute jailhouse call to his mistress days after his 2023 arrest, the alleged Tupac orchestrator admitted he wrote his own tell-all memoir, directly contradicting his legal team’s claim that a ghostwriter penned the controversial book.
When his female companion asked, “What’s this book they say you wrote?” he responded without hesitation: “Oh, yeah, I did.”
That simple admission became the prosecution’s smoking gun.

His book “Compton Street Legend” is now the centerpiece of the prosecutors’ case against him, and every page works against his freedom.
In the memoir, he describes himself as the “shot caller” for the South Side Compton Crips and details the night of Tupac’s death with specificity that’s impossible to walk back now.
He wrote about telling his nephew Orlando Anderson, “We couldn’t let no record company studio gangsters do us like that,” after Tupac allegedly beat Anderson down at the MGM Grand.
He described pulling up alongside Tupac’s car and wrote that “Pac pulled out a strap, and that’s when the fireworks started.”
These aren’t vague recollections. They’re detailed admissions that according to the NY Post, prosecutors plan to weaponize in court.
The judge already ruled the book admissible as evidence, noting that Davis made multiple statements calling it “the real truth.”
His own words from the 2008 police interview are also cleared for trial.
Suge Knight, the only other surviving witness to the shooting, is expected to testify for the prosecution.
