Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Rebounds for Record-Extending 25th Week at No. 1 on Hot 100

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” rises a spot to notch a record-extending 25th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Here’s an updated look at the longest-leading hits, ranked by most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Hot 100, since the chart began in August 1958:

  • 25 weeks (to date), “Choosin’ Texas,” Ella Langley, 2026
  • 22, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” Mariah Carey, 2019-26
  • 19, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Shaboozey, 2024
  • 19, “Old Town Road,” Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus, 2019
  • 16, “Last Night,” Morgan Wallen, 2023
  • 16, “Despacito,” Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber, 2017
  • 16, “One Sweet Day,” Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men, 1995-96

“Choosin’ Texas” initially ruled the Hot 100 in February, on its way to setting multiple chart records.

Plus, three songs crash the Hot 100’s top five: Tate McRae’s “Housewife” debuts at No. 2; Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan’s “Expectations” vaults 63-3, following the release of its remix adding Roan; and Zach Bryan’s “Lies,” featuring Lana Del Rey, opens at No. 4.

Read on for details of the entire top 10 on this week’s Hot 100.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts dated Oct. 31, 2026, will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, Oct. 27. For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.
