Harry Styles Casts Couple Who Got Engaged at His Show in ‘Coming Up Roses’ Music Video

It’s definitely coming up roses for one couple who recently got engaged at a Harry Styles show, which led the pop star to invite them to make a cameo in his latest music video.

In the “Coming Up Roses” visual released Monday (Oct. 26), Styles takes a beginner’s ballroom dance class with a troupe of strangers, including a woman in a bridal gown, a waitress, a cowboy and more. Despite their differences, the class is able to come together by bettering their skills as a unit, something they commemorate at the end of the video by taking a group photo.

It’s at this point that two fans named Marivel and Frankie appear on screen together, standing in front of a scenic mural as Styles comes into frame. He puts an arm around Marivel as the rest of the dance class finds a spot surrounding them to pose.

“Meeting Harry Styles and being in the Coming Up Roses music video is something we never imagined,” Marivel wrote on Instagram after the video dropped. “Thank you @harrystyles for making our engagement much more special and having us be a part of such a special song. You are truthfully the nicest and just an overall amazing person. Thank you for the roses.”

She also shared a photo of herself with her fiancé and Styles on set, as well as a picture of the floral arrangement the Grammy winner gifted the couple. “I’m so honored to have been a small part in [your engagement],” reads a note in Styles’ handwriting.

Marivel’s post comes a couple of weeks after she revealed on Instagram that Frankie had proposed to her at one of the One Direction alum’s October tour shows at Madison Square Garden. “First time seeing @harrystyles and it was such a special night that will be remembered forever,” she wrote, sharing a photo of Frankie down on one knee and a clip of the couple — Marivel flashing her ring — on the big screens. “Thank you @frankieusher for an amazing night. Looks like you’re my forever date.”

Styles currently has just three dates left at MSG before he takes his Together, Together trek to Australia. Next year, he’ll cap off the run — which supports Billboard 200-topping album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally — with an additional run of shows in North America and Europe.
