Lil Boosie is looking for a pardon, and it doesn’t matter who the U.S. president will be in 2025.
Over the weekend, he went on X to vent about a case he’s been fighting since May of last year. “My case got dismissed for a ruling that was made n the 9th circuit court .2 weeks later the ruling gets vacated,” he tweeted before tagging both Democratic nominee and current vice president Kamala Harris, as well as Republican nominee and twice-impeached former president Donald Trump. “SMH soon as I celebrate the law is vacated GTFOH I got some powerful people who hate me with every bone n they body. I was sent to prison for 10 years for 3rd marijuana. For being a user lol no rehab ,no probation sent straight to prison .at this point i need a parden [sic] from whoever wins @vp @realdonaldtrump.”

The Baton Rouge rapper had a firearm possession case dismissed in San Diego after a federal judge ruled that it was unconstitutional to strip a nonviolent felon of their right to own a gun. However, prosecutors were able to file a new indictment with new charges just two weeks later. After hearing the news while on vacation, Boosie took to X and accused the prosecution of “making this a circus,” called the situation “unconstitutional,” and told fans to “tell a president pardon this bullsh—t.”
He was previously charged with possession of a firearm as a felon in interstate commerce and is now charged with interstate commerce as a convicted felon and for knowingly possessing a firearm while dealing with abuse of a controlled substance, according to Fox5 in San Diego.
Boosie has had his fair share of legal issues over the year. In 2014, he was released from prison after doing almost five years on drug charges and famously beat a first degree murder rap while incarcerated.
If convicted, Boosie faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.
