Tyler, the Creator released his eighth studio album, Chromakopia, on Oct. 28. And on Monday (Nov. 4), the rapper celebrated that album debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The set launched with 299,500 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 31, his best week ever in terms of units and the sixth-largest debut of 2024, which is notable considering the album arrived on an off-cycle Monday, and therefore only had four days of activity in its first tracking week. (Most albums are released on a Friday, giving them a full seven days of activity in their opening chart week.)

“300k. on a monday morning. thank you to every listener,” he wrote on his Instagram Story while resharing Billboard‘s announcement of his achievement.
Chromakopia marks Tyler’s third No. 1 album, following 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost and 2019’s Igor, both of which also won Grammys for best rap album. He announced the album on Oct. 17, 11 days before its release. He also held a listening event in Los Angeles the Sunday night before it arrived, and Tyler popped up in Atlanta, Boston and Brooklyn in the last week to perform the new songs. He also earned his first two top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 this week (chart dated Nov. 9), with “St. Chroma,” featuring Daniel Ceasar, debuting at No. 7 and “Noid” rising 43-10.
Next year, he’ll take the LP around the globe with the Chromakopia: The World Tour. Along with special guests Lil Yachty and Paris Texas, the trek will kick off on Feb. 4 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., and go through major cities such as his hometown of L.A. (where he’ll host a three-night stint at Crypto.com Arena), Atlanta, Miami, Chicago and New York before wrapping up on July 27 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. He also has dates set in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
