On Wednesday (June 29), Jonas took to his official TikTok page to share a video of himself vibing out to a teaser of some new music. “Come on, Joe, you got so much more to be grateful for/ Stop being sad, ’cause you’re making the room uncomfortable,” he sang in the snippet over downcast acoustic guitars that steadily grow into a breezy pop-rock arrangement. “Okay, I get it, right now, you’re feeling so miserable/ Sometimes, I wish I had powers to be invisible.”

“Even baddies get saddies 🥲 #newmusic,” he captioned the post, nodding to a lyric he sings later in the snippet. The song’s downtrodden lyrics also appear to hint at the Grammy nominee’s feelings amid his tumultuous divorce from Emmy-nominated actress Sophie Turner. In his post, Jonas appears to be riding a bicycle on a sunny trail as he lip-syncs to the currently unreleased song.

This isn’t the first time Jonas has teased new music this year. Back in March, he posted a clip with the caption, “The way I would’ve bodied this trend if I weren’t in the studio working on something new.” The following day, he replied to a fan’s comment daring him to share what he was working on with a 13-second video of his collaborators playing guitar in a recording studio.

Between Jonas Brothers and DNCE, Joe Jonas is a part of several musical collectives, but these new snippets appear to show Jonas teasing new solo releases; the latest snippet does not appear on any official social media pages for either Jonas Brothers or DNCE.

In 2011, Jonas released Fastlife, his debut solo studio album. Led by the Chris Brown-penned “See No More,” which peaked at No. 92 on the Billboard Hot 100, the LP peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200. Jonas would go on to oscillate between Jonas Brothers and DNCE releases, while younger brother Nick Jonas enjoyed a more consistent solo career before the brothers reunited in 2019.

With the JoBros currently on a break before their Five Albums. One Night. The World Tour returns on June 22 at Parque Tejo in Lisbon, Portugal, the coast seems to be clear for a solo Joe Jonas comeback.
