Humble Hefe welcome back it’s been about 2 Years since we last interviewed How is everything?
• Thank you for having me back I appreciate it. And yeah we ain’t link since my 2023, all is well on my end brother still grinding perfecting myself and my craft.
2) Man I tell you time fly’s. We are here today and you have just released your EP Against All Odds 2. I definitely tuned in and must applaud the entire project. What made you stick with the Against All Odds as a sequel?
• Thank u first and foremost, I put a lot into this body of work and I do all I do including this project, I do it against All the odds. To me it’s not just a EP or album name it’s a testimony. That is the most relevant name I could give these last 2 projects.
3) You have a full body of work, this EP is radio ready a EP that you really won’t skip one song. What was the creative process like for this project?
•. Shout out everybody involved with the making and completion of this project. I went a new route with this project. I literally have a collaboration on every song on the EP except FAH. I worked with multiple producers from No30 Music, Lexi Banks, Tco Riaz, Buckroll, the list goes on. The EP has a deluxe version with a feature from currency along with many other artist. So the creative process for this pro was epic, dope, fun, and I enjoyed every moment.
4) You have been dropping visual after visual for this project, even before it’s release the rollout was much heavier than AAO 1. How did you manage the work load ?
• Dedication and teamwork. Shout-out my manager DucTape, shout out my people at 3rd Rail management in helping in certain aspects of this rollout. Shout-out Gravidi Pixels, AVG films, Shot by AK. They say it takes a village ( laughs). It’s Loved Ones Day Ones Music Big Hefe I manage all I must with God’s shoulders.
5) Money Talks the song and music video is your latest visual release on YouTube. That video and song is bananas. How did you manage to collaborate with so many different artists and always manage to not sound the same ? Every track on your project is so different than the last, how do you do that ?
• I literally strive for versatility in my music. And I literally found my was a artist, I don’t box myself in. There’s a freedom that music gives me that only a artist of any sort could understand. Money Talks was a movie Shout out BLVU. Me and the bro linked up and lock in. Money Talks is just proof of what alignment can do.
6) You Have your Full deluxe EP on sale on LodoMusic.com why if it’s available for free on DSP ?
• Well the DSP sites only have the Partial EP / Project. There are 6 more songs on the full Project which you can purchase for $9.99 on Www.LodoMusic.com. I put out some of the project on DSP to give the people surity that they ain’t wasting their $9.99. To me it’s like a rent before you buy.
7) Now that is A major business move not even major artist pulled a marketing scheme like this. I salute the mastermind behind that idea. What is your favorite song on Against All Odds 2?
• Damn that’s a hard question. Because my answer is likely to change, Yet I will say FAH right now. Or Viral and Take Me. Yet again I have been asked that question before and my answer was Trust issues. I love all my songs on this project sincere.
8) I will rate your Against All Odds 2 project a 10/10. Now where do you go from here ? With a EP / Album receiving such high buzz and gaining does this add an added pressure for future projects?
• (Laughs) It can if you not built like me. I have a conquerers mindset so it’s no pressure for me. I continue to grow and if you compare my last 2 projects to each other, the development is clear. I’m really here to stay and have my way.
9) I saw on YouTube you got a FaceTime call from FAT Joe a few days after your EP dropped, what happened with that ?
• ( SMH ) Fat Joe was talking bout a deal yet the way the conversation went was wild suspect even the texts and emails. He seemed more interested in speaking via email or text than in person or by FaceTime which was the original agreement he asked for my number. I feel like they was tryna see if I was a thirsty artist willing to be dumb and go for anything, yet dat ain’t Hefe.
10) What can people and your fans expect from Humble Hefe Moving forward ?
• More drops. I will be dropping a project every quarter. That’s 3 short project releases and the Album or EP Oct 1st of next year. Keep the date Oct 1st on your calendars that is my official Drop day for all my Major full Project releases. Also more visuals, shows, collaborations an leveling up. We looking to sign some artist next year also. Everyday is another way.
