With fall just around the corner, today’s music stars are keeping it cool with some great new releases.
Linkin Park made an epic comeback, “The Emptiness Machine,” which introduces the band’s newest co-vocalist, Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara. “There is so much to this band — this is a very, very important band to this world,” Armstrong tells Billboard of joining the group in the band’s new digital cover story. “And the integrity of the band was really helpful in keeping me grounded. There were so many of those moments where it was like, ‘Holy s–t,’ when you talk about the size of the shows, stuff like that. I’m on cloud nine, but then it hits you that there’s a lot of work to be done.”
Meanwhile, over in the pop world, Camila Cabello dropped the deluxe, Magic City Edition of her latest album, C,XOXO. She announced the expanded edition of the album last week via Instagram, revealing that the project will include her next single, “Godspeed.” “i wish you well, but far away from me,” Cabello captioned a teaser video of the tune. “Always more stories to tell. Some new songs for your night in Magic City,” she wrote in second post announcing the deluxe album.
Halsey is continuing the rollout of her upcoming The Great Impersonator album with a new single, “Ego.” “I think that I should try to kill my ego/ ‘Cause if I don’t, my ego might kill me/ I’m all grown up but somehow lately/ I’m acting like a f—ing baby/ I’m really not as happy as I seem,” she sings on the vulnerable track.
