Published
2 years agoon
Now that we know Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan are both eligible for best new artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards, who will win?
Well, on the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith are taking a closer look at the hotly contested Big Four category, thanks to Billboard awards editor Paul Grein’s breakdown of all the eligible artists. But beyond Carpenter and Roan, there are a slew of artists who have dominated the Billboard Hot 100 over the past year, including current chart champ Shaboozey, plus Tommy Richman, Benson Boone and Teddy Swims.
Listen to the latest episode below to hear who made the cut, who was left out, and whose names we were surprised to see on the list.
Also on the show, we’ve got chart news on how Sabrina Carpenter is back at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with Short n; Sweet and how Shaboozey’s stranglehold atop the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart continues for a 13th week — despite challenges from Billie Eilish as well as The Weekend and Playboi Carti. Plus, how Lady Gaga’s new Harlequin album arrives atop two of our Jazz album charts.
