J. Cole is celebrating the 10th anniversary of 2014 Forest Hills Drive with a special one-night-only concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Dec. 16.
The 39-year-old rap star made the announcement on Friday (Nov. 29), marking a decade since the release of his third studio album. Presales for the Live Nation-produced event will begin Monday (Dec. 2), with general onsales starting Dec. 4.
In addition to the anniversary concert, Cole revealed that special editions of 2014 Forest Hills Drive will be available for pre-order on vinyl and CD. These anniversary releases will feature four new bonus tracks and alternate cover art.
Released in December 2014 on Roc Nation through Columbia Records, 2014 Forest Hills Drive debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking Cole’s third chart-topping album. The title was inspired by the address of the North Carolina home he lived in until 2003. The album went on to become his first million-selling project in the U.S., producing five entries on the Hot Rap Songs chart, including hits like “Apparently,” “Wet Dreamz,” “No Role Modelz,” “Fire Squad” and “A Tale of 2 Citiez.”
The concert announcement comes on the heels of Cole’s mixtape Friday Night Lights being released on streaming platforms for the first time since its 2010 debut. Earlier this week, the rapper also previewed two unreleased tracks he recorded with Kendrick Lamar, “Shock the World” and “Temptation,” on episode four of his Inevitable podcast. The songs date back to 2010, when both artists were considering recording a joint album.
In other news, J. Cole also teased that Dreamville Fest will celebrate its fifth anniversary in 2025, with presale tickets going on sale Dec. 11 at 9 a.m. ET.
