President Trump Claims NYC Loves Him After Getting Booed At NBA Finals

Trump claims New York City loves him after getting loudly booed at the Knicks game, then posts selective footage on Truth Social.
Trump spent the night getting booed at Madison Square Garden during Game 3 of the NBA Finals, then woke up at 2 A.M. to post on Truth Social claiming New York City loves him.
The cognitive dissonance is real, and the internet’s not buying it.
He showed up courtside with his granddaughter Kai, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, and Knicks owner James Dolan, ready to catch what he probably thought would be a coronation.
Instead, the crowd at the Garden let him know exactly how they felt the moment his face hit the Jumbotron during the national anthem. The boos were so loud they nearly drowned out Broadway performer Avery Wilson singing the Star-Spangled Banner.
After the Spurs dismantled the Knicks 115-111 in front of him, Trump walked out and told reporters something that nobody who watched the game actually heard.
“I thought it was mostly cheers,” he said, claiming the reception was “very enthusiastic” and “amazing.”
Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, and the San Antonio squad held on to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole in the series.
Trump missed parts of it, though. The POTUS was caught sleeping during stretches of the game, which only made the whole thing more awkward.
What happened next is where the real story lives.
Social media immediately started blaming Trump for the Knicks’ loss, with fans arguing that his presence threw off the team’s energy and distracted them from the game.
Trump was undeterred. He hit Truth Social with a post showing selective footage of people cheering as his motorcade rolled down 34th Street.
He’s cherry-picking moments, editing out the boos, and selling a version of events that contradicts what millions of people witnessed live.
The Knicks now trail the series 2-1 heading into Game 4.
