Big Tigger denies all charges after his arrest on felony battery and child cruelty counts following wife’s viral post.
Big Tigger is speaking out after his arrest last weekend, posting an unequivocal denial on Instagram while his legal situation grows more serious by the day.
The veteran V-103 morning host and former face of BET’s “Rap City: Tha Basement” was booked into the Fulton County Jail on June 20 on charges of aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children, posting $10,000 in surety bonds before walking out the same day.
His post-arrest Instagram statement, posted to his bigtiggershow account, reads: “I unequivocally deny every allegation that has been made against me. Because this is an active legal matter, I am limited in what I can say. What I can say is that I have complete confidence in the facts and in the legal process.”
The case traces back to a May 9 argument at the couple’s Sandy Springs home that his wife, Alicia Brown, described to investigators.
According to the arrest warrant obtained by 11Alive, the dispute started over text messages between Big Tigger and a female co-worker and escalated physically when he allegedly pushed Brown into an office door, causing a deep laceration above her left eye that required numerous stitches.
The warrant noted that visible disfigurement above the eye remained a month later. A Ring camera reportedly captured the shove.
The cruelty-to-children charge stems from the couple’s 13-year-old son being inside the home and able to hear everything from his upstairs bedroom during the confrontation.
What kicked all of this into public view was Brown herself.
On June 6, she posted a video to Instagram showing her stitched face and a black eye, captioning it “Someone ask my husband why my face happened” and tagging Tigger’s co-host Francesca Amiker in the process.
The post went viral almost immediately, and Brown confirmed in comments that she and Tigger were divorcing over his relationship with Amiker.
Amiker, a four-time Emmy winner who joined the V-103 morning show just weeks earlier, denied the affair in a written statement calling the claims “completely false.”
Brown later issued her own follow-up statement according to TMZ, clarifying that she “never called my husband an abuser” and that “social media has drawn its own conclusions.”
Big Tigger broke his silence on June 12, before the arrest, releasing a public statement that categorically denied all of it.
“I want to say categorically that these allegations and accusations that have been circulating are false,” he said. “Additionally, it’s important to clarify that Francesca and I have never been anything more than friends and respected colleagues.”
When AllHipHop reported on the investigation deepening weeks ago, no arrest had yet been made.
Tigger hasn’t been on air since the arrest, with Frank Ski filling his slot on V-103.
Sandy Springs police arrested him on June 20, two weeks after Brown’s viral post first put his name in the streets.
