Peewee Longway Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison, Avoids Potential Life Sentence

Atlanta rap veteran Peewee Longway has reportedly been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.
Atlanta rapper Peewee Longway has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after accepting a plea agreement that spared him from spending the rest of his life behind bars.
The federal case has loomed over the veteran rapper since his 2024 arrest as part of a sweeping Georgia drug trafficking investigation.
According to court proceedings, Longway pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. As part of the plea agreement, federal prosecutors recommended a sentence between 10 and 14 years, a reduction from the life sentence he faced.
The 10-year sentence represents the low end of that recommended range.
Longway’s legal troubles stem from Operation Sweet Silence, a large-scale federal and state investigation targeting alleged drug trafficking organizations through the Atlanta area. The operation resulted in more than 100 arrests and authorities said investigators seized significant quantities of narcotics, firearms and cash during the multi-agency crackdown.
Federal prosecutors alleged Longway was connected to the broader conspiracy uncovered during the investigation. His guilty plea reduced his sentencing exposure.
Longway helped define Atlanta’s trap era, built a loyal following through projects such as Blue M&M, The Blue M&M 2 and Mr. Blue Benjamin. He also collaborated with artists including Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Migos, A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott.
Although Longway avoided the possibility of a life sentence through the plea agreement, the decade-long prison term will likely sideline his music career during what had been an active period of releases.
Neither Longway nor his legal team has commented on the reported sentence at press time.
