Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” is the biggest song in the world, bounding two spots for its first week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. It also holds for a third week atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. It’s the first official World Cup anthem to lead the lists, which began in 2020.

Five Burning Questions About Shakira & Burna Boy’s World Cup Theme ‘Dai Dai’ Topping the Global Excl. U.S. Chart
Among other moves, Temper City earns its first Global Excl. U.S. top 10 with its rising rock hit “Self Aware.”
“Dai Dai” drew 41.5 million streams (up 8% week over week) and sold 6,000 (down 4%) worldwide July 3-9, according to Luminate.
Shakira claims her second Global 200 No. 1, after “TQG,” with Karol G, led in its debut week in March 2023. Burna Boy reigns for the first time.
Shakira and Burna Boy performed “Dai Dai” for a reported 80,000-plus fans at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony June 11 at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca. Soccer’s preeminent tournament runs through Sunday, July 19 — when Shakira, Justin Bieber, BTS and Madonna are set to take the stage at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., for the first-ever World Cup final halftime show.
Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” drops to No. 2 after two weeks atop the Global 200 since its debut in June; Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” rises 5-3 for a new high; Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” holds at No. 4 following a week at No. 1 in May; and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” falls 2-5 after two weeks at No. 1 starting upon its arrival in June.
“Dai Dai” leads Global Excl. U.S. with 37.1 million streams (up 8%) and 4,000 sold (down 8%) outside the U.S.
The top five on Global Excl. U.S. is static, with BTS’ “Swim” at No. 2 after eight weeks on top since April; “Hate That I Made You Love Me” at No. 3 after spending its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1 in June; “Billie Jean” at No. 4 after hitting No. 2; and Justin Bieber’s “Beauty and a Beat,” featuring Nick Minaj, at No. 5 following two weeks at No. 1 in May.
Plus, Temper City reaches the Global Excl. U.S. top 10 as “Self Aware” climbs 11-9, up 5% to 21 million streams outside the U.S. In March, the song became the act’s first Billboard chart entry, which holds at its No. 3 best on Alternative Airplay and has hit the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs top 10, following its breakout on TikTok. The trio is based in Los Angeles and comprises Aviv Barenholtz, Chen Kordova and Eytan Peled. “This project we made has no AI in it whatsoever,” Peled recently told Billboard. “Just us playing in the room and very raw, raw energy.”
The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States.
Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.
The latest charts, dated July 18, 2026, will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, July 14. For both tallies, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard’s subscription-based service. For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.
Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings.
