Lil Wayne Reacts in Disbelief to Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Reveal: ‘U Serious Boy’

Lil Wayne was announced as a member of the class of 2027 Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (July 23). Weezy reacted to the good news on X and was in total shock about the honor, to the point he thought his team was messing with him. 

“Ok so my brother is Fabian right, and he play too fkn much like brothers do….this man just told me that it’s been confirmed that im getting my own star on the Hollywood walk of fame,” Wayne wrote on Thursday. “Wtf boy!! This man play too much bruh! U serious boy”

Fans were excited to see Wayne getting his flowers. There’s no denying the Young Money leader has left an indelible mark on hip-hop in his three-decade career, and his influence and style live on in the next generation of rappers who followed him. 

To date, Weezy has notched five No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and a staggering 195 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. The New Orleans rap deity has topped the Hot 100 on three different occasions with “Lollipop,” Jay Sean’s “Down” and DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One.” 

The Hollywood Walk of Fame boasts a star-studded class of 2027, which includes Karol G, David Guetta, Nicole Scherzinger, Keke Palmer, Charlamagne Tha God, Ramones, Grandmaster Flash, Sia, Smashing Pumpkins and Linkin Park. 

Lil Wayne is on the road celebrating 20 years of Tha Carter classics with 2 Chainz, which continues this weekend with a pair of shows in Michigan. 

Weezy also entered the podcast space. He and WFAN radio host Craig Carton launched their The Joint Venture podcast, which went live with the duo’s first episode on Wednesday (July 22) featuring sit-downs with various superstar athletes during their time at Fanatics Fest last weekend.
