Bailey Zimmerman has unexpectedly canceled his planned run of summer U.K./European shows less than a month before they were slated to kick off. The “All the Way” singer revealed the news in an Instagram post where he said he was hitting pause to focus on himself and his family.
“I wanted to let you all know personally that I unfortunately have to cancel my UK/Europe shows,” Zimmerman wrote on Instagram on Thursday morning (July 30) in a note featuring the caption “Love y’all so much.”
“This was not an easy decision and it kills me to have to cancel because I know how excited everyone is … but right now I need to take this time to focus on important family matters,” he continued, without elaborating on what matters he was referring to. He assured his fans that there’s nothing to worry about, adding, “Everything is okay, it’s just my family needs my attention and that’s what I’ve gotta do.”
He noted that he will still be playing his scheduled North American shows next month, which are slated to kick off on Aug. 6 with a gig in Bethlehem, Pa., before moving on to stops in Wisconsin and Missouri and an Aug. 14 show at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield. The now-scotched overseas Different Night Same Rodeo shows were slated to kick off on Aug. 27 at in Glasgow, Scotland, followed by stops in Luttenworth, Dublin, Belfast, Manchester and London, as well as September concerts in the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden, with plan to wrap up on Sept. 12 in Oslo, Norway.
At press time it was unclear if a series of September U.S. shows in Washington state, Nevada, California, Kansas and Pennsylvania — as well as October gigs in Australia — are still a go; a spokesperson for Zimmerman had not returned Billboard‘s request for comment at press time.
After confirming that he’ll keep his August North American commitments, Zimmerman added, “But after that I will be taking some more time to focus on me, my family, and new music. Once again I’m so sorry to everybody that has waited so long … I hope y’all can understand that my family has to come first. Thank you for having my back on this crazy ride we call life.”
The bad news for overseas fans of the 26-year-old Louisville, Ky. native came less than a month after Zimmerman escaped charges for allegedly trashing a hotel room in Albuquerque, N.M. in May. He had been facing federal and criminal misdemeanor charges after allegedly causing $16,000 in damages to his hotel room and reportedly not settling a $400 alcohol charge to his room, resulting in his eviction from the Sandia Resort and Casino after her allegedly refused to leave in a courtesy vehicle. The charges were dropped, and the case was ultimately dismissed after Zimmerman made full restitution for the incident.
Zimmeman apologize for the incident in a statement, writing, “To the Pueblo of Sandia and my fans: I want to address the events surrounding my canceled show in New Mexico in May and the reports that have followed. First things first, I want to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino. I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful. I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired. I respect your community and the hospitality and appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to perform on Native Land. I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected.”
He also apologized to fans who bought tickets to the canceled show.
Zimmerman released his sophomore album, Different Night Same Rodeo, in August 2025; the LP debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 album chart in its first week and spawned the Billboard Hot 100 No. 30 hit collaboration with Luke Combs “Backup Plan.”
