Cartel Bo Denies Kidnapping Wife, Says Handcuffs Were For OnlyFans Sexual Bondage

Cartel Bo contests the state’s evidence as a Houston judge keeps him detained in aggravated kidnapping and assault cases.

Cartel Bo remains jailed without bond after Monday’s hearing, where prosecutors pressed to keep him detained while his kidnapping case moves forward.

The hearing lasted several hours and revealed evidence that contradicted the initial allegations against the rapper.

Brown’s attorney, Samuel Milledge, told reporters after the hearing that new evidence presented in court was “very exculpatory” for his client.

“Allegations are nothing more than an uncorroborated statement,” Milledge said. “And only thing that makes it a fact is evidence.”

The case centers on allegations involving Alexia Valdez, the mother of Brown’s children. According to court testimony, a 911 call was placed at approximately 1:05 A.M. on July 26 by Sonya Guidry, Brown’s aunt who has custody of the couple’s children.

Charging records allege Cartel Bo abducted the mother of his children July 21, confined her inside a deadbolted closet and sexually assaulted her. KPRC’s review of charging records found investigators recovered zip ties, handcuffs, fast-food wrappers and the closet lock after deputies answered a welfare check.

The woman allegedly escaped in handcuffs after Cartel Bo left, reached a neighbor and later received medical care after officers found her nearby.

Cartel Bo is also charged with family-violence assault involving the same woman and a misdemeanor accusing him of striking her Uber driver. The driver told investigators he intervened outside a recording studio during a June dispute and was punched repeatedly, according to court documents.

According to testimony, the incident stemmed from Valdez’s belief that Brown was going to visit another woman. The defense revealed that handcuffs found in the home were used by the couple in their OnlyFans content involving consensual sexual bondage.

Milledge also raised concerns about the person who made the initial 911 call. According to testimony, Sonya Guidry first called reporting a missing person, then called again three hours later claiming someone was being kidnapped. Milledge questioned the timing and consistency of those calls.

But during the hearing, a critical detail emerged: Valdez signed an affidavit of non-prosecution and recorded a video statement recanting the allegations.

In that video, Valdez claimed she was never threatened or assaulted by Brown and alleged that law enforcement pressured her to make statements she didn’t want to make.

“The complainant in this case is a grown woman,” Milledge explained. “If a person does not want to go forward with the case, they have a right to say that they don’t want to go forward with the case. I am relying on a video where she is recanting, saying that these things did not happen. I would be foolish not to as a defense attorney.”

Milledge also highlighted what he called troubling details about how law enforcement handled Valdez.

According to testimony, paramedics transported Valdez to a hospital despite her repeatedly telling emergency personnel she didn’t want to go. Once at the hospital, she was interviewed by law enforcement for several hours.

“She was harassed and intimidated by law enforcement,” Cartel Bo’s other attorney said. “She said it over and over again. I felt harassed. I felt threatened. I felt intimidated.”

The August 3 hearing left Cartel Bo jailed without bond, while local courtroom coverage said Milledge argued prosecutors presented weak evidence.

A federal judge sentenced Cartel Bo to 78 months following his guilty plea in the 2018 Lakewood Park music-video prosecution. He returned with “Fresh Out Tha Fedz,” then released CHAPO, PABLO and El’ Cartel while rebuilding his profile across Houston’s Hip-Hop scene.

His 2026 album includes Fredo Bang, Baby Kia and HoneyKomb Brazy after a 2025 set featuring Sauce Walka, Paul Wall and Trae Tha Truth. Just before his arrest, he was promoting the 19-track HIT 4 A BAG III and a documentary tied to his comeback and neighborhood story.

Milledge also criticized prosecutors for using Brown’s rap content against him in court.

“He’s a rapper. He’s an entertainer. That’s what entertainment rappers do,” the rapper’s lawyer said. “But to use that content against him in a criminal courtroom to help leverage prosecuting this young man and denying him bond is unfair.”

The attorney warned other rappers about this prosecutorial tactic.

“Prosecutors are taking your Hip-Hop content in videos and in lyrics and at the right moment, at the right time, at their disposal, their discretion, they’re using it against you. But they don’t do it to other entertainment figures,” he said.

Cartel Bo’s misdemeanor assault case involving the Uber driver remains scheduled for Friday, August 7, in Harris County court.
