Sidney Starr Disputes Charges As Arrest Warrants Reveal Hotel Allegation

Sidney Starr maintains her innocence as arrest warrants disclose new claims about the hotel encounter behind three felony charges.

Sidney Starr is denying disturbing child-sex allegations as newly disclosed arrest warrants reveal what Georgia investigators claim happened inside a hotel.

The Love & Hip Hop: New York personality said she “unequivocally denies the allegations against her” in a statement.

“Allegations should not be mistaken for fact, and public opinion should never replace due process,” Starr’s statement continued.

Starr plans to contest the charges through court and requested privacy while promising this would remain her only statement during the pending case.

She also warned against using her arrest to stigmatize transgender people, arguing that accusations against one person should not condemn an entire community.

The denial followed AllHipHop’s original report about her August 2 arrest at an Embassy Suites in Hapeville, Georgia.

Starr, whose legal name is Sidney Favors, remains jailed without bond on aggravated child molestation, sodomy and sexual battery against a child under 16.

Atlanta News First reviewed arrest warrants alleging Starr performed oral sex on a boy inside the hotel during Sunday morning.

The warrants reportedly claim Starr acknowledged the sexual act to investigators but maintained it was consensual, despite the alleged victim being underage.

That reported admission now sits directly against Starr’s broader denial, although prosecutors still must prove every charge beyond a reasonable doubt.

Hapeville Police have withheld further information because the case involves a juvenile, limiting public details about the boy’s age and surrounding circumstances.

A photograph released after the arrest shows Starr standing inside the hotel with her hands positioned behind her back before entering county custody.

Her mother, Stephanie Favors, called the allegations “completely out of character” and said she could not imagine Starr engaging sexually with a minor.

Stephanie Favors also said she had not spoken with her daughter since the arrest, leaving Starr’s family without her direct account.

Reports indicate Starr traveled to Georgia to host an Industry Girl reunion scheduled Sunday evening through Ray J’s Tronix Network.

Police have not confirmed her arrest time, making it unclear whether she attended the event before officers took her into custody.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office now controls the prosecution, while public records have not revealed an indictment or scheduled bond hearing.

If convicted of aggravated child molestation, Georgia law permits life imprisonment or at least 25 years behind bars followed by lifetime probation.
