Cam’ron Uses Vic Mensa’s Confederate Flag Dress In Growing Africa Dispute
Published

Cam’ron revives Vic Mensa’s 2019 protest outfit after the Chicago rapper condemns his remarks about African identity.
Cam’ron has turned Vic Mensa’s old Confederate flag dress into fresh ammunition after the Chicago rapper criticized his views about African identity.
Mensa had accused Cam’ron of rejecting African ancestry while repeating an insulting description that came from his co-host’s travel story.
“I saw Cam’ron saying he’s not African and Africa stinks,” Mensa said. “Now obviously this is ridiculously disrespectful and ignorant, but I love Killa. So let’s approach this empirically.”
Mensa then traced Cam’ron’s Giles surname and argued that slavery disrupted family records without removing Black Americans’ ancestral ties to Africa.

The Harlem veteran addressed Mensa on Talk With Flee, stressing that Sen City made the disputed odor remark about visiting Africa.
“Why is you click baiting talking about I said the people in Africa saying because I didn’t say that. I was repeating what somebody said. You click baiting and you clout chasing,” Cam fumed.
“Saying I said Africa stinks, and I didn’t even say that,” Cam’ron said while explaining why the viral version distorted his comments.
After correcting the record on air, Cam’ron shifted the argument from Mensa’s history lesson to a provocative image from his past.
“This you?! 🤦🏾♂️😂 Leave me alone bro, until you explain this fake a** activists,” Cam’ron wrote while tagging Mensa in the repost.
The insult made the dress look like an embarrassing discovery, yet Mensa explained its political purpose when the visual arrived seven years ago.
“The ‘3 Years Sober’ video is a statement about identity,” Mensa explained in 2019. “I put on a confederate flag dress to be able to laugh at a symbol of hate, and played tug of war with Mike Pence over birth control.”
“I had my face written on to get ahead of everything I know people will say about me,” Mensa continued. “I know some in Hip-Hop culture will see this and say ‘Vic’s gay’ (which I’m not), whereas if I was white they’d just say ‘he’s a rockstar.’”
The Cam’ron lecture followed another controversial Mensa statement comparing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with Nazis who escaped after World War II.
“Well, if he ever had to go on the run, he could escape to Argentina with the rest of the loser Nazis,” Mensa said.
Mensa made that remark while backing New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s willingness to honor the International Criminal Court warrant against Netanyahu.
