Suno unveiled a new offering on Thursday (Aug. 6) allowing for users to press songs created with the AI company on vinyl, a spokesperson for Suno confirmed. The new offering, first reported by Music Business Worldwide, allows users to design their record with either their own artwork or artwork created by Suno for a custom sleeve, label and album cover.
On Suno’s website, users can sign up for a waitlist to be informed when the vinyl offering will be available, with a note on the site saying, “Vinyl isn’t live yet, but it’s coming. We’re finishing the details and the first pressing run goes to the waitlist.” The company estimates vinyl will cost $45 (not including shipping), with a date for when it will be available not yet announced.

The company’s website says that 12” black vinyl will be available with full-colored sleeve and labels pressed from the final mixes users create on Suno, and each record can hold up to 46 minutes of audio.
In March, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) reported that, for the first time since 1983, vinyl sales surpassed the $1 billion wholesale revenue mark. In 2025, vinyl accounted for $1.04 billion from 46.8 million units sold. Luminate reported that in 2025, pure album sales (purchases of physical and digital album downloads) had made up 14% of overall album units. Both Luminate and the RIAA reported that album sales have seen growth for 19 consecutive years.
Last year, Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl was the top-selling vinyl album, with 1.601 million copies sold. Luminate’s recent mid-year report showed that listeners of rock or K-pop were more likely to purchase physical albums. The IFPI global report in March revealed that, worldwide, physical revenue grew by 8%, beating out digital revenue growth, which was at 7.7%.
Also on Thursday, Suno’s CEO Mikey Shulman posted several new principles on the company’s website, including limits on downloads for songs created on the AI platform. While a timeline for when the download limitations has not yet been announced, Suno first agreed to set a limit as part of their agreement to settle with Warner Music Group over their copyright infringement lawsuit. (Universal Music Group and Sony Music are still in pursuit of their own copyright infringement lawsuits against Suno.)
