Chud The Builder walks free after posting his million-dollar bond, but faces up to fifty-six years in prison if convicted of attempted murder.
Chud The Builder walked out of Montgomery County Jail Monday morning after two months locked up, his $1 million bond finally posted through ten separate bail services.
The livestreamer known for his racist tirades against Black people in Nashville streets is back on the outside, and the legal nightmare he’s facing is far from over.
Dalton Eatherly, the real name behind the online persona, put up 10% of his bond with each of the 10 bonding companies, covering $100,000 apiece.
According to TMZ, the judge set his bond at one million dollars back in May after the courthouse shooting that left him and another man wounded.

The attempted murder charge stems from a May 13 incident outside the Montgomery County Courthouse where Eatherly confronted Joshua Fox, a Black man, in what prosecutors say was a deliberate provocation caught on video.
The shooting didn’t happen in a vacuum.
For months before that courthouse encounter, Eatherly had been livestreaming himself harassing Black people throughout Nashville, using racial slurs and deliberately antagonizing them for content and donations.
His followers, a mix of white nationalists and far-right extremists, rewarded his behavior with hundreds of thousands of dollars in crowdfunding support. District Attorney Robert Nash presented evidence showing Eatherly’s social media posts explicitly indicated his intent to provoke Black people into physical confrontations.
In one post from May 4, Eatherly wrote: “Keep encouraging your fellow blacks to assault me. When you see a chimp with their brains blown out on the time line just know yall did this to your own people.”
The courthouse confrontation escalated when Fox stood up and walked toward Eatherly after their verbal exchange.
Prosecutors say Eatherly reached for his gun, Fox punched him, and during the struggle, Eatherly fired seven shots.
Five hit Fox, and at least one struck Eatherly himself. He claims self-defense, but the evidence tells a different story about a man hunting for a violent encounter.
Before the shooting, Eatherly was already facing charges from a Nashville steakhouse incident where he livestreamed himself refusing to pay a nearly four-hundred-dollar tab at Bob’s Steak and Chop House.
He’s charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest in that case. As reported by CNN, both cases have been sent to a grand jury for review, and if convicted on the attempted murder charge alone, Eatherly faces up to fifty-six years in prison.
His next court date in the Nashville case is scheduled for later this month, and prosecutors are already moving to have his bond revoked for missing previous hearings.
