Austin has long been a city where music spills out of every corner, from legendary venues to neighborhood bars and local stages. Now, a new development aims to bring that culture into the foundation of a new hospitality and residential destination.
UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle has unveiled plans for UMusic Hotel & Private Residences Austin, a 71-acre property that will combine luxury accommodations, residences and live entertainment at the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Highway 71.
The project will mark the second UMusic Hotel location, following the 2022 opening of the brand’s first property in Madrid, Spain. Unlike the Madrid location, the Austin development will introduce private residences alongside its hotel and entertainment offerings.
The project’s centerpiece will be White Rocks Amphitheater, a 10,000-seat outdoor venue designed to host concerts and cultural events. The development will also include 150 hotel rooms, 600 private residences, recording and content creation studios, an indoor event venue with a capacity of 1,500, a comedy club, dining options, wellness and longevity facilities and entertainment spaces.
Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with the first phase projected for delivery in early 2029 and additional phases continuing through 2032. Residences are currently available, with The Preserve I starting at ~$760,000 and Private Residences starting from approximately $1.6M.
“Our vision is to create places where culture is made, shared, and celebrated. Launching UMusic Hotel & Private Residences Austin through storytelling rather than convention is a natural extension of that philosophy, “said Jordi Solé, President of UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle.“ This property combines performance, wellness, nature, and community into a single living ecosystem, reflecting Austin’s creative spirit on a global stage.”
Beyond music, the property will feature two fine dining restaurants, three bars, an on-site distillery and tasting room, a private members club, underground comedy club, resort-style pools and spa services, and a large Las Vegas-style beach club.
The development was introduced at an exclusive launch event on April 23, 2026, featuring performances from Lyle Lovett and Asleep at the Wheel. Developers say the project will also support the local creative community through artist programming, partnerships and funding initiatives.
This ongoing commitment is further solidified by a newly announced endowment, a first-of-its-kind funding model designed to provide permanent support for Austin’s arts and nonprofit organizations. The project also recently announced the White Rocks Collab, an artist development and performance venue which will be a permanent downtown addition to the main White Rocks project. The Collab will provide artists creative and career development support and a live performance space.
