Dua Lipa Pokes Fun at Her Italian Skills With ‘Milan…Such a Cool Place’

Dua Lipa seems to be brushing up on her Italian.

In a new TikTok posted on Thursday (Oct. 1), the pop star strolls through an Italian street while showing off a polished, understated look that includes yellow-tinted sunglasses, a white long-sleeve top and an elegant black skirt. With her hair pulled back into a neat braid, Lipa leans into the effortless European aesthetic as she addresses the camera in Italian.

The clip appears to play off Lipa’s previous appearance in promotional content connected to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. In the original campaign, the singer showed off her Italian-language skills during the first few seconds of her monologue before switching back to English to praise the city: “Milan, such a cool place.”

The promotional clip also features an instrumental version of Lipa’s own “Training Season,” which was a perfect soundtrack to showcase the hardworking athletes. The track was released in 2024 as the second single from her third studio album, Radical Optimism, debuting at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The pop star also posted a carousel to Instagram, with photos of herself surrounded by friends as she soaks in a beautiful vacation. Fittingly, Lipa captioned the post, “Milan…such a cool place,” poking fun at her line from the Milano Cortina 2026 promotional video.

The joke didn’t go unnoticed by fans, many of whom have playfully commented on Lipa’s Italian language skills. Her latest post essentially turns the original campaign moment into an inside joke, with Lipa in on the fun alongside fans who have followed her Milan adventures.
