25 Halloween-Themed Hip-Hop Songs to Soundtrack Your Weekend

Halloweekend is here, and that means multiple things: candy, costumes, and parties. We are bound to see many Nikki’s from Obsession, fake NFL player scammer Daejon Love’s, the classic Velma costume that continues putting up a 50-point game, the ol’ reliable Spider-Man outfit, Heated Rivalry outfits and more.

But before the candy starts to stack up and the drinks are poured, it’s not a proper Halloween function without the right tunes.

Sure, people can play what’s hot right now, but why not dive back into the genre and hear what some of its greats have done with the haunted holiday in mind? DMX, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Offset, Ice Cube, Method Man and OutKast have all been inspired by the annual day of scares and countless films that have raised the hair on our arms for the last few decades.

Artists like Brotha Lynch Hung and the Flatlinerz have taken it a step further and branded themselves in the “horrocore” sub-genre.

Though not all these talents have accompanied their horrific tracks with visuals, they have been descriptive enough to spark the imagination of their listeners across the globe.

Hip-Hop is often at its best when a story is being told, but to reimagine what we have seen on screens into an auditory experience shows just how great all of these acts are.

Whether you’re headed to the haunted house, going trick-or-treating, or having a spooky season party, here’s a list of 25 Halloween-themed tracks that can soundtrack your weekend.
