Gracie Abrams Earns First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With ‘Daughter From Hell’

Gracie Abrams scores her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart as her third full-length studio effort, Daughter From Hell, debuts atop the Aug. 1-dated ranking.

It starts with 124,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending July 23, according to Luminate — the singer-songwriter’s best week ever by units. Abrams previously hit the top 10 with her last album, The Secret of Us, debuting and peaking at No. 2 in July 2024.

Abrams is the sixth act to land their first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2026, following Noah Kahan, Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, Don Toliver and Megadeth. In the entirety of 2025, there were five acts that got their first No. 1: Ken Carson, Ghost, Tate McRae, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Sleep Token.

Also in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, BTS’ former leader ARIRANG jumps back into the region (rising 26-9) after the release of a vinyl picture disc edition of the album.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. Of Daughter From Hell’s 124,000 equivalent album units earned in the tracking week, album sales comprise 77,000 (her best sales week, it debuts at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 46,500 (equaling 47.27 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs, it debuts at No. 6 on Top Streaming Albums) and about 500 TEA units. The set was released in its first week across 10 vinyl variants (including a signed edition, and a Target-exclusive variant with a bonus track), four CD variants (including a signed edition, and a Target-exclusive edition with a bonus track), two cassettes and two digital download and streaming editions (including one with two bonus tracks).

Daughter From Hell was announced on May 11 and preceded by a pair of charting hits on the Billboard Hot 100: “Hit the Wall” and “Look at My Life.”

The rest of the top 10 on the latest Billboard 200 are populated by former No. 1s, and the Nos. 2-6 titles are all non-movers as compared to a week ago. Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love is No. 2 (86,000 equivalent album units, down 11%); Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem is No. 3 (75,000, up 2%); Ella Langley’s Dandelion is No. 4 (72,000, down 1%); Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide is No. 5 (63,000, down 7%); and Drake’s ICEMAN is No. 6 (56,000, down 8%).

Future’s The Real Me falls to No. 7 with 46,000 equivalent album units earned (down 65%) after debuting at No. 1 a week ago. Michael Jackson’s Thriller rises 9-8 with 40,000 (down  3%).

BTS’ ARIRANG climbs 26-9 with 40,000 equivalent album units earned (up 62%), following the release of a new vinyl picture disc variant of the album with two bonus tracks. Also helping the album was promotion surrounding its new single “Normal,” and BTS’ co-headlining turn during the FIFA World Cup final halftime show on July 19, where the group performed its 2020 No. 1 Hot 100 hit “Dynamite.”

Closing out the new top 10 is Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time, holding steady at No. 10 with 38,000 equivalent album units earned (up 3%).
