Yvie Oddly isn’t one to shy away from the spotlight, having won the eleventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2019, then returning to the Werk Room in 2022 for All Stars season seven. While they may be known for all things weird and captivating, the drag queen’s life hasn’t been all glamorous. In their first-ever memoir, Oddly will take fans beyond the cameras and provide a more raw look at the TV personality.
All About Yvie: Into the Oddity aims to bring a new perspective to the unique and unconventional drag queen through their own storytelling as they take you through their life before and after fame. The beginning will see the 30-year-old pen about their life growing up in Boulder, Colo. followed by their time on Drag Race and the after effects, which seasoned fans will know was anything but a positive experience.
The memoir was released on Wednesday (June 19) in the midst of Pride month and is available through Target, Walmart and Amazon on sale for under $25.

Through its pages, the memoir explores how the past Drag Race winner explored and eventually discovered their identity. You’ll understand the moments and parts of their history that shaped them, while also gaining insight into the Emmy-winning reality show that helped skyrocket them to fame.
Oddly has been speaking out about their treatment on the reality Drag competition show, citing the producers as “the greediest, most-calculating, capitalist culture thieves,” on X as well as claiming the show didn’t pay them for more than a year after winning.
Still, in their new book, the drag queen and gay icon reveals they have moved on from the negative experience and hope to use their platform to inspire positivity and hope in others.
