T.I. And Rick Ross Do Another Flyby On 50 Cent In New Song
Published
3 months agoon
Rick Ross delivers a direct shot at 50 Cent while T.I. adds some fire, re-lighting the flame under the beef.
I want to be clear: I’m not involved in this beef between 50 Cent, T.I., Rick Ross and whoever else decides to jump into the mix. These guys might be beefing forever.
Selfishly, though, I love seeing artists rise to the occasion.
Rick Ross and T.I. just dropped a new song called “Mahogany Caskets,” and it’s hot. The track arrives as Ross gears up for the release of his new album next month. That project has experienced delays, and of course the jokes have been flying online. Some people are tying the postponement to Drake’s continued dominance on the charts.
Personally, I don’t think Rick Ross can avoid Drake’s commercial momentum right now. Whether you love him or hate him, this has been Drake’s year from a chart perspective. Now, if we’re talking pure skills, lyrics and artistry, that’s a completely different conversation. Everybody has their own taste when it comes to music.
Check out the song below.
Now let’s get into the rumors.
Rick Ross has a line that immediately grabbed people’s attention:
“Drug lords, all I see is drug wars / Bulletproof trucks to the front doors / Shoot up all your st, f##k 50 Cent / And they never walk away, that go for many men…”
Whoa.
So we’re really going there?
Then T.I. follows with a line that feels suspiciously aimed at somebody:
“Send you to ya mama like ya father do…”
Maybe it’s a reach. Maybe it’s not. It is a small lyric, but potentially potent.
One thing is certain: these guys are at war. The difference is they’re rapping at an extremely high level while doing it.

We already know 50 Cent isn’t necessarily interested in trading bars the way some of these guys are. He’s still overseas performing and entertaining crowds, while continuing to keep his foot on people’s necks through social media and old records. But if this energy keeps building, I wouldn’t be surprised if he felt compelled to respond in a more direct way.
That’s what makes Hip-Hop fun.
When rappers actually rap, compete and push each other creatively, everybody wins.
And if we’re being honest, this feels a lot more interesting than endless Instagram posts. Just an opinion.
What do you think? Are Rick Ross and T.I. sending shots at 50 Cent, or are fans reading too much into the lyrics?
Here’s 50, by the way:
