At the very heart of this musical rebirth is her husband, producer, and musical soulmate, Rynellton (Garry D. Hairston). The Interview

AllHipHop: Your upcoming second studio album is titled Free-Spirited. After everything you have overcome personally and professionally, what does that title mean to you at this stage of your life?

TaniA Kyllikki: The title Free-Spirited represents the ultimate liberation of my voice and my soul. For many years, I carried the heavy chains of past abuse, industry grief, and the constant physical limitations of my health. But I have reached a point where I refuse to be boxed in musically, emotionally, or spiritually. I never stay complacent. Free-Spirited means allowing myself to explore every layer of my artistry, transitioning seamlessly between vulnerable soul ballads and uplifting anthems. It is a declaration that despite the trials that try to hold me down, my spirit remains completely wild, unbroken, and free.

AllHipHop: The singles from this upcoming album, like “In These Eyes,” “I AM Good Enough,” “Feel Good Vibes,” “I Struck Gold With You,” and your last release, “I Promise I’ll Wait You” all  showcase a massive musical evolution. How has your sound grown since your debut?

TaniA Kyllikki: My sound has evolved naturally because I have grown as a woman and a survivor. Why Chapter One was about processing deep pain, but Free-Spirited focuses heavily on the actual journey of healing and reclaiming self-worth. Musically, my husband Rynellton and I have pushed the boundaries way further. We’ve integrated vibrant R&B elements, uptempo dance, house, rap, and cinematic vocal layering, and even unique Arabic-style vocal riffs. I love experimenting with my vocal range, shifting from soft, raw vulnerability to full-throated, soaring high notes. Every track reveals a totally different side of me.

AllHipHop: I AM Good Enough” has truly struck a chord with listeners as a self-love anthem. What was going through your mind when you wrote that track?

TaniA Kyllikki: I wrote it for anyone who has ever stared into a mirror and felt broken, unvalued, or full of self-doubt. I have crushed and burned so many times in my life, yet by the grace of God, I am still standing here. The song is a reminder to pull yourself out of that dark, negative energy. When the choir-like harmony swells in the chorus, it’s meant to wrap around the listener like a warm embrace. I want people to play it whenever they feel low and let those words become their own personal truth: you are worthy of love, and you are good enough.

AllHipHop: Your husband, Rynellton, plays a massive role in your music as your main producer and co-writer. How did your relationship shift from a deep friendship into this explosive musical partnership?

TaniA Kyllikki: Before we ever became romantic, Rynellton  and I were absolute best friends. We were brought together by a shared, innate spiritual connection to music and God. We would talk on the phone for hours about how music had saved us both from our childhood traumas. Professionally, I had been badly burned by past record deals that stripped away my confidence. Rynellton was the first person to truly see me, believe in me, and push me to use all the hidden layers of my voice. Our chemistry is unparalleled. We trust each other with our lives, and that absolute safety lets us create pure magic together.

AllHipHop: You both navigate a transatlantic, long-distance relationship between the UK and the US. How do you manage to write and produce such intimately cohesive tracks while being thousands of miles apart?

TaniA Kyllikki: It is incredibly difficult, but our souls are so deeply intertwined that distance cannot stop us. Rynellton is a musical genius who can produce any genre effortlessly, and he knows exactly how to build a sonic landscape that lets my lyrics breathe. We bounce ideas back and forth constantly. He knows my vocal style so well that even when we are physically apart, the creative energy feels explosive and immediate. Our ultimate goal is to bridge this geographic gap permanently, but until then, our music serves as the bridge that keeps us completely joined at the heart.

AllHipHop: Your single “I Struck Gold With You” feels like a direct love letter to Rynellton. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind that song and its incredibly successful music video?

TaniA Kyllikki – (I Struck Gold With You) Official Music Video

TaniA Kyllikki: That song is pure gratitude. It highlights the unconditional love Rynellton has shown me through my darkest health flare-ups. Long before we married, he took the vows of “in sickness and in health” to heart. When we are apart, he will stay awake on the phone with me all night long just to soothe me when I am in severe chronic pain. For the music video, I wanted it to be completely authentic. I filmed and edited it entirely by myself using just a selfie stick, captured intimately as we sat together at the piano. To see it cross over a million views in its first month was mind-blowing. It showed me that people can truly feel the realness of our bond.

AllHipHop: You have faced devastating personal losses together, including miscarriages, which you bravely addressed in your past work. How does music help you both heal from tragedy?

TaniA Kyllikki: Music is quite literally my medicine. When Rynellton and I tragically lost our babies, 6 now sadly,  the pain was completely paralysing. We lost another baby earlier this year at 14 weeks. Unfortunately with me having Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, this causes higher risk for miscarriages. There were no words for that level of grief, so we turned to our piano and pen. Writing “What If” allowed us to look our heartbreak in the face, envision our babies in heaven with God, and find a sense of closure. Pouring our deepest tragedies into melody transforms our pain into something beautiful that can help comfort others walking through the exact same dark valleys.

AllHipHop: You are conducting this interview from your bed, battling yet another severe health crisis after Urosepsis. Where do you find the strength to keep pushing forward with your career during these times?

TaniA Kyllikki: My strength comes entirely from my unwavering faith in God and the beautiful community of survivors who support my journey. The glammed-up photos show one side of me, but the reality is that many days I am too sick to leave my bed. Right now, I am completely exhausted physically, but my mind remains fiercely determined. I look at my life as a living testimony. If I can chart globally and write whole albums from a hospital room or my bed at home while dealing with chronic pain, then I can inspire someone else not to give up on their own dreams. As long as I have my phone for recording voice notes writing down lyrics, I can do that even on my sickest days. Every single breath I take is a gift, and I intend to use my gifts until the very end. And only God has the final say on that.

AllHipHop: What is the core message you hope your global fanbase takes away from Free-Spirited when they finally hear it in full?

TaniA Kyllikki: I want them to look at their own lives and realise that their struggles, their health issues, or their past traumas do not disqualify them from greatness. Life is far too short to say “I can’t” when God has built you to say “I can”. I want this album to be a vibrant, genre-bending reminder to love who you are, celebrate your survival, and live your life completely out loud. No matter how many times you crash or burn, you always have the power to rise up, dust yourself off, and be completely free.
