Big Tigger says he’s stepping away from radio to focus on his family and legal defense while denying domestic violence allegations stemming from his recent arrest.
Atlanta radio personality Big Tigger is taking a break from the airwaves as he faces domestic violence charges and prepares to defend himself in court.
Darian Morgan, known widely as Big Tigger, announced on Instagram that he is stepping away from his radio show to focus on his family while allowing his legal team to handle the case. The longtime broadcaster also reiterated his denial of the allegations against him.
“For as long as I’ve been in this industry, my focus has always been to keep the spotlight on the culture and the incredible people I get to interview,” Morgan wrote. “But right now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation.”
He continued, “Through all of this, what hurts the most is being away from my son. Nothing is more important to me than being a great father. So I’ve decided to step away from the mic for a while to focus on my family and give my legal team the room they need.”
Morgan concluded his statement by maintaining his innocence.
“As I previously said, I unequivocally deny every allegation, and I am looking forward to clearing my name. Thank you so much all for the love and support.”
The announcement follows Morgan’s arrest by the Sandy Springs Police Department on charges of aggravated battery, battery and third-degree cruelty to children.

According to an arrest affidavit, Morgan’s wife, Alicia Brown, told investigators the incident occurred during an argument at the couple’s home in May. She alleged Morgan shoved her into an office door, causing a deep cut above her left eye that required stitches.
Investigators also stated the couple’s 13-year-old son was upstairs during the altercation and heard what happened. Authorities cited that allegation in support of the third-degree cruelty to children charge.
Court records also show Brown was granted a temporary protective order requiring Morgan to stay away from her, the family’s home and their children while the matter proceeds through the legal system.
Morgan has publicly denied all allegations since the case became public. His latest statement marks his first announcement that he will temporarily leave his broadcasting duties while the criminal case moves forward.
No trial date or additional court proceedings have been announced at the time of this writing.
