Texas man orders Burger King breakfast. Then he takes issue with how they package it now: ‘I can’t pour syrup’

‘They made you a whopper griddle.’

A Texas man was ready to enjoy his Burger King breakfast when he opened up his order and saw something he wasn’t expecting. Now, he’s questioning how he’s supposed to eat it without making a mess.

In a video, @showtymetucker4 explains that he ordered a pancake platter from Burger King. The meal included eggs, sausage, and pancakes. But before he even bites into the food, @showtymetucker4 is unimpressed by the food packaging and presentation.  

Burger King Pancake Platter: ‘What Do I Do?‘

“Look like Burger King [expletive] up with me too,” he says. “Y’all look at this [expletive]. So, I ordered a pancake platter, OK, which consists of egg, sausage, and pancake, right? All right, so this is what the hell they did to me.”

He then shows his breakfast. Instead of coming on what one might expect from a platter, the entire meal appears to be stacked inside a cardboard box typically used for burgers. Three pancakes are placed at the bottom with the sausage and eggs sitting on top.

“Is this a sandwich? What do I do? ‘Cause I can’t put syrup in there; it’s gonna leak all in the [cardboard],” @showtymetucker4 says.

Although he says Burger King gave him two packages of syrup, @showtymetucker4 says he wasn’t given any napkins. He also believes the meal cost him too much for the quality and presentation.

“Y’all wanna tax the hell out of me, you know. This [expletive] was what, $6? And then after taxes and everything, I paid $10 for this. Ten dollars, y’all. First of all, y’all … taxing the hell out y’all food,” @showtymetucker4 says.

‘I Would Take It Back!!!!!!!’

The video has over 11,900 views and 300 comments. Most viewers were just as annoyed with the packaging as @showtymetucker4 seems to be.

“They wrong,” one commenter says.

“No way, I would take it back!!!!!!!” another person says.

“That’s pancake sandwich,” someone else jokes.

“Big dog they just ran out of the platters syrup won’t fall through. I use this all the time,” one viewer presumes.

“These fast food places have gotten ridiculous. I was at Wendy’s yesterday and they had a big [sign] out saying get napkins, straws, and forks when you request them I’m like I’m paying for all this food and you will not put this stuff in the bag unless I asked for it these fast food places to get ridiculous very expensive and no good service,” a different viewer writes.

Does Burger King Usually Serve Its Pancakes Like This?

@showtymetucker4 may not be the only Burger King customer to receive pancakes in cardboard packaging.

In a 2021 YouTube video comparing McDonald’s and Burger King breakfast platters, creator Rhody Foody also received his Burger King pancakes in a cardboard box. However, the eggs and bacon were placed in a separate plastic container rather than being stacked directly on top of the pancakes, making a “sandwich” like in @showtymetucker4’s video.

It seems that the way Burger King breakfast platters are packaged may vary by location or order. However, it is unclear whether @showtymetucker4’s meal is because of a chain-wide packaging change or a decision made at the specific restaurant he visited.
