“Love & Hip Hop” Star Tommie Lee Arrested At World Cup Match In Miami

Tommie Lee found herself in handcuffs at Miami Stadium during the England vs. Norway World Cup match on Saturday, joining five other people arrested as 60,024 fans watched the game unfold.

The “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star’s arrest marks another chapter in a pattern of legal troubles that has followed her for years, stretching across multiple states and courtrooms.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrests happened during the match, with deputies ejecting 19 additional people from the stadium.

Charges against those taken into custody ranged from trespassing to theft to battery on a police officer, with one man allegedly throwing a cup of beer at an officer when asked to leave.

The sheriff’s office stated all incidents were isolated and handled quickly, allowing the event to proceed without major disruption.

Tommie Lee, whose real name is Atasha Jefferson, rose to prominence on VH1’s reality series before becoming a regular fixture on Zeus Network shows.

But her television career has been consistently overshadowed by her run-ins with law enforcement.

During her 2016 appearance on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” she revealed she’d been arrested nearly 30 times throughout her life, a number that’s only grown since then.

Her most serious legal battle came in 2018 and 2019 when she faced a seven-count indictment in Cobb County, Georgia, including charges of child cruelty, aggravated assault, battery, and aggravated stalking.

Court documents alleged she shoved her child’s head into a metal locker and dragged the child by her hair at a middle school.

She was arrested twice within 48 hours in October 2018, first at the school and then at her home for violating a no-contact order. The case carried a potential prison time of up to 54 years.

In June 2024, she was arrested outside Club LIV in Miami Beach on a battery charge.

According to court records, she allegedly approached a man she’d never met, attempted to hand him something, and when he refused, she poked him in the face, cursed at him, and threatened to have him killed.

Surveillance footage corroborated the victim’s account.

The World Cup arrest came just over a year after that Miami Beach incident, suggesting a pattern that continues to follow her.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office hasn’t released specific details about what led to her arrest at the stadium or what exact charges she may be facing.

The sheriff’s office emphasized that despite the arrests and ejections, the World Cup event proceeded safely with no major incidents reported.
