Chrisean Rock denies involvement in ex Ronny Doe’s death as Maryland police continue searching for suspects.
Chrisean Rock is denying any involvement in the death of her ex-boyfriend Karon “Ronny Doe” Cann, addressing the case directly during a recent livestream.
Police say gunfire erupted near Severn Tree Boulevard and Sea Pine Circle the evening of February 3, 2025, and arriving officers found Cann down outside a home in the area, suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he later died.
Homicide detectives and an evidence collection unit worked the scene, and Anne Arundel County Police confirmed that the case remains open, more than 17 months later, with no suspects named.

Rock addressed the case herself during the stream.
“They talking about Karon, open investigation. That got nothing to do with me,” she said. “His death has nothing to do with me. Yes, he made my life about him because he needed money. He was desperate.”
She went on to describe Cann’s struggles before his death, claiming he was under the influence of multiple substances at the time.
“Where was his parents, his family then?” she asked. “Nobody was holding Karon accountable.”
Rock pushed back on the narrative tying her to the case, alleging others in Cann’s life bore responsibility for issues in his home.
“Y’all keep trying to put this narrative out and then I keep being quiet,” she said. “Because I low-key love Karon.”
Cann had spent his final months publicly demanding a paternity test for Rock’s son, insisting he was present at the birth and had “cut the umbilical cord.”
He confronted Rock over the issue at a mall in November, and police were called to the scene.
Blueface, who has publicly gone back and forth on his own paternity claims, has referred to Cann as “his father” in past social media posts while questioning whether Rock’s son is biologically his.
The paternity dispute has remained unresolved despite a DNA test Rock posted shortly after Cann’s death.
Police spokesperson Justin Mulcahy said they “are unable to provide any additional details” while pursuing leads in the still-active case.
Investigators have not released information on a motive or persons of interest since confirming the case remained open.
A hearing update or new statement from investigators is expected as the case approaches its second year without an arrest.
