Sidney Starr Faces Life In Prison After Child Molestation Arrest

Sidney Starr remains jailed in Georgia as grave juvenile assault allegations expose a possible sentence of 25 years to life.

Sidney Starr is jailed in Georgia after police accused the transgender rapper and reality personality of sexually assaulting a juvenile.

Online jail records identify Starr by her legal name, Sidney Favors, and list sexual battery against a child under 16, aggravated child molestation and sodomy charges.

Hapeville police said officers responded Sunday (August 2) to an alleged incident at the Embassy Suites hotel before arresting Starr.

“As a result of the investigation, Starr was arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses related to an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile police said.

“Because this case involves a juvenile, no additional information will be released from our agency,” the cops said in a statement.

Starr gained national notoriety after a 2010 photograph with Chingy fueled her false claim that they shared a sexual relationship.

She admitted fabricating the story in 2012 and apologized, but Chingy maintained that the viral accusation damaged his reputation and career.

“When that happened, I lost a lot of stuff based off a lie, which was just, that was the most oddest thing I’ve ever seen,” Chingy said.

“There’s no, I mean to be honest with you, man like it was spilled milk, and I lost a lot from it. That person gained,” he continued. “I’m not going, I’m not gonna hold on to something. It is what it is. Apologize. Cool. I’m going this way and let that individual do their thing and a lot of stuff, man. But that situation…that hurt my career. Like I’m just gonna be honest about it.”

The controversy nevertheless kept Starr visible, and she turned that infamy into television appearances on Atlanta Plastic, Botched and Black Ink Crew: Chicago.

AllHipHop previously reported that Starr’s attention-seeking Chingy story helped generate opportunities across several unscripted television franchises.

Her highest-profile break came during “Love & Hip Hop: New York” Season 9, in which VH1 presented Starr as an aspiring rapper seeking career guidance.

Official VH1 footage documented Starr working with Rich Dollaz, clashing with Nya Lee and trying to establish herself as a serious recording artist.

Starr remains accused rather than convicted, but Georgia law allows life imprisonment or at least 25 years behind bars followed by lifetime probation for aggravated child molestation.
