D4VD’s Behavior Changed Dramatically Before His Arrest, Friend Reveals

D4VD’s former friend believes the singer deserves damnation if prosecutors prove he murdered 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

D4VD is facing serious questions about his character after a former friend revealed troubling observations about the singer’s behavior before his arrest.

The friend told The Mirror US that he watched D4VD become increasingly withdrawn and secretive in the months leading up to his detention on murder charges.

What started as casual distance eventually transformed into something far more sinister once prosecutors began laying out their case.

The allegations against D4VD are severe. He’s charged with first-degree murder in the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, along with counts of continuous sexual abuse of a minor and mutilation of human remains.

According to The Mirror US, the former friend said he now views D4VD’s past behavior through a completely different lens.

“I considered David a friend, and it is difficult to reconcile the person I knew with the allegations that have now come out,” the friend stated. “If prosecutors prove that he did what they say he did to Celeste, then I believe there is a special place in hell waiting for him.”

The friend described noticing D4VD becoming harder to reach and more defensive whenever personal questions came up.

He became increasingly private about his life and relationships, behavior the friend now recognizes as potentially connected to the crimes prosecutors allege.

Court filings reveal that D4VD and Celeste exchanged messages discussing sexual activity and a possible pregnancy when he was 18 and she was just 13 years old.

Prosecutors allege D4VD killed Celeste to protect his lucrative music career after she threatened to expose their relationship.

They say he was the last person known to drive the vehicle where her dismembered remains were discovered. Investigators also claim he purchased tools online using a false identity and made multiple trips to Santa Barbara County following her death.

The friend emphasized that he wasn’t present during any of these events and can only speak to the changes he observed in D4VD’s demeanor.

Despite the mounting evidence, D4VD’s legal team maintains his innocence.

His attorneys, including Blair Berk, have stated that “the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and he was not the cause of her death.”

The friend expressed deep sympathy for Celeste’s family, saying his former friendship with D4VD pales in comparison to the unimaginable grief they’re experiencing.

Evidence presented during preliminary hearings showed possible bloodstains at D4VD’s residence, along with items prosecutors say were used in the crime.

D4VD remains in custody without bail awaiting trial, facing potential sentences ranging from life imprisonment to the death penalty if convicted.
