Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez Threatened With Death Outside Roc Nation HQ In Terrifying Confrontation

Desiree Perez found herself in the crosshairs of a disturbing campaign that started quietly in May and escalated into direct confrontation outside her workplace.

The Roc Nation CEO, who co-founded the powerhouse agency alongside Jay-Z, became the target of a homeless man’s violent obsession that manifested through social media threats, music lyrics, and face-to-face intimidation.

Law enforcement sources confirmed the menace showed up at the company’s West 26th Street headquarters in Chelsea around 7:30 P.M. on Monday, where he made his intentions crystal clear.

“You are going to die,” he seethed at Perez, according to the NY Post. The threats didn’t stop there.

What makes this case particularly unsettling is the pattern of escalation that authorities have documented since spring.

The suspect, tentatively identified as a homeless individual with a known presence throughout Manhattan and the Bronx, had been harassing Perez through multiple channels for months before the physical confrontation occurred.

Social media became his platform for lyric-laced death threats targeting not just Perez but the entire Roc Nation organization.

The specificity of his fixation suggests this wasn’t random street violence but a calculated campaign of intimidation. Police haven’t made an arrest yet, leaving questions about what’s preventing them from taking action.

Perez’s role at Roc Nation extends far beyond typical executive responsibilities.

She’s been instrumental in orchestrating the label’s collaboration with the NFL since 2019, overseeing halftime show coordination that reaches millions of viewers annually.

Her production credits include work with Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lil Uzi Vert, and she made history as the first executive producer to win an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live).

Roc Nation’s leadership has built one of Hip-Hop’s most influential institutions, yet even that power and resources can’t shield employees from street-level threats.

The NYPD has not released details about whether additional protective measures have been implemented at the Chelsea office.
