Suge Knight Insists Multiple People Were Involved In Tupac’s Death

Suge Knight broke his silence on the Keefe D trial, and the Death Row Records founder didn’t hold back about what he thinks is really happening in Las Vegas.

The 63-year-old defendant faces a single count of murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang in Tupac’s 1996 death, and prosecutors say he’s the “shot caller” who ordered the killing and provided the gun that night.

Speaking from prison, Knight laid out his frustration with how the case has unfolded over three decades.

He emphasized that Keefe D had already confessed to everything in a book and on multiple podcasts, which Knight believes destroyed the immunity deal that once protected him.

“For 30 years or so, it cost me my freedom, it cost me money, it cost me business deals,” Knight told TMZ Live. “Even though I got a bullet an inch into my skull, they always say I’m the one who had Tupac killed, which is far from the truth.”

Knight stressed that multiple people were involved in the assassination, not just Keefe D. He referenced a woman named SKT he knew back in the day and suggested others connected to the case have remained silent.

The Death Row founder delayed his upcoming book, “Your Pain Is My Joy,” until September to avoid interfering with the trial, though he made it clear he won’t name names in it.

When asked about the difference between revenge and justice, Knight offered a stark perspective on the American legal system.

He referenced the case of Courtney Clenney, a former OnlyFans model who pleaded guilty to manslaughter with a deadly weapon in the 2022 stabbing death of her boyfriend Christian Obumseli and received six years in prison with time served.

Knight contrasted that with his own sentence: 28 years for the 2015 hit-and-run death of Terry Carter in a Compton parking lot, where he pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter.

He claimed Dr. Dre paid $20,000 to have him killed and that he was running from assassins when the incident occurred.

“A white woman stabs a black man to death and kills him and they get three or four years,” Knight said. “People had guns and they had test to prove they was trying to kill me. It was a hit and someone dies and look how much time I got.”

Knight emphasized that this case should serve as a teaching moment for Hip-Hop and society, and he credited his strength and kindness to God rather than seeking revenge.

The trial is expected to last about a month, with jury selection having begun on August 10, 2026.
