Ye postpones his Marseille concert after France threatens to legally block the show over his antisemitic remarks and Nazi support.
Kanye West just pulled the plug on his Marseille concert after France made it crystal clear that the embattled rap star was not welcome in the country.
The rapper was set to perform in the southern port city in June, but the French interior minister had other plans and was ready to legally block the entire show because of his past antisemitic statements and Nazi support.
He decided to postpone the gig after “much thought and consideration” rather than fight the government on it.
I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends
I take full responsibility for what’s mine but I don’t want to put my fans in the middle of it
My fans are everything to me
Looking forward to the next shows

He posted on X explaining that “it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends,” and he’s taking full responsibility for everything.
He also made clear he doesn’t want his fans caught in the middle of this political situation.
“I take full responsibility for what’s mine but I don’t want to put my fans in the middle of it. My fans are everything to me Looking forward to the next shows See you at the top of the globe,” Kanye West added.
Ye had released a song called “Heil Hitler” and sold s####### T-shirts last year before apologizing and blaming his bipolar disorder for the behavior.
Back in January, Ye tried to make amends by running a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal to address his hurtful remarks. But that apology apparently wasn’t enough to convince French authorities that he’d genuinely changed.
The Marseille cancellation is just the latest domino to fall in what’s become a European rejection tour.
Last week, London’s Wireless Festival got completely canceled after UK authorities banned Ye from even entering the country.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer didn’t hold back, saying Kanye West should never have been invited to headline the festival in the first place.
The government made its position crystal clear by standing firmly with the Jewish community.
Between the UK ban, the French postponement, and the mounting legal issues back home, it’s becoming harder for him to find places willing to host his shows.
His team hasn’t announced any rescheduled dates for the Marseille performance yet.
