MGK Day 2026 Is Back With Wiz Khalifa And A Mission To Give Back To Cleveland

Wiz Khalifa lands at MGK Day 2026 as Cleveland’s annual charity weekend comes back to support local schools and the Food Bank.

MGK is bringing the biggest MGK Day yet to Cleveland this summer and Wiz Khalifa is rolling with him for the ride.

The two artists will co-headline the MGK Day Art + Community Festival on August 8 at North Coast Yard in Cleveland, according to Billboard, with gates opening at 3 P.M. and the main stage firing up at 6 P.M. ET. Fireworks close out the night at dusk.

The pairing already has chemistry on wax from touring the Lost Americana North American Tour together and dropping Blog Era Boyz in May.

The nine-track project channels the laid-back, blog-era energy that first made both artists stars.

MGK Day launched in 2022 when Mayor Justin Bibb officially proclaimed August 13 Machine Gun Kelly Day during a Hall of Fame ceremony.

That same night, MGK performed for more than 50,000 fans at what was then FirstEnergy Stadium as the first Ohio-born artist to sell it out. Bibb told the crowd he didn’t know anyone who loved Cleveland the way MGK does and made it official right there.

The charity piece is what separates this from a regular concert weekend.

The event benefits the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, with ticket purchases directly funding school supply drives for K-12 students. Past years also brought donations of guitars and funding to public schools in both Cleveland and Shaker Heights.

The full weekend kicks off Friday, August 7 with a Red Bull Best Trick Contest at Crooked River Skatepark followed by the Harley-Davidson City Ride on Saturday before the main festival gets going.

Local vendors, food trucks and community organizations fill the grounds before MGK and Wiz close out the night.

MGK’s producer, SlimXX, broke down what makes the event different in a Billboard interview during MGK Day 2025.

“They actually got to see him grow and see him rapping outside airbrush stores,” SlimXX said. “Back then, nobody knew us, so we couldn’t get in anywhere, so we’d play in the parking lot. That’s why, when we pull up out here, it’s a million people, because everyone feels like they’re a part of it.”

Adding Wiz to the bill is more than just a booking, and both artists know the blog-era grind firsthand.

They both built fanbases through internet releases before mainstream radio ever gave them a shot, and Blog Era Boyz taps directly into that shared DNA. AllHipHop covered the original proclamation back in 2022, and it’s clear MGK Day has become something much bigger than a night for one hometown rapper.

General admission tickets start at $39, and a tailgate package runs $185 and includes five GA passes and a parking spot.
