Back in December 2020, Maria Avila was emptying trash at his Tarzana home when his 200-pound Caucasian shepherd named Hades attacked her without warning.

The massive breed, notorious for guarding Russian prisons, ripped off large chunks of her skin and left her face and arm mangled beyond recognition.

She needed dozens of sutures and skin grafts just to look human again, but the nerve damage stuck around permanently, making it nearly impossible for her to earn a living.

The lawsuit dragged on for over five years before a two-week trial finally wrapped up in late June.

The jury decided Chris Brown and his company Black Pyramid LLC were liable for her injuries and ordered him to pay $12.9 million in damages.

His legal team is now arguing the verdict was excessive, claiming jury misconduct and irregularities prevented him from getting a fair shake in court.

Avila isn’t waiting around for Chris to write a check. She’s going after his R&B Tour revenue with Usher, which is generating serious money right now.

The tour is his most lucrative income stream, and she’s positioned to seize a significant chunk of those earnings to satisfy the judgment.

A hearing on his motion for a new trial is scheduled for September 22, which falls right between tour dates in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

The singer is refusing to let this woman take a bite out of his pockets without exhausting every legal option available to him.
