Megan Thee Stallion gets rushed to a New York hospital after falling ill mid-show at Moulin Rouge on Broadway.
Megan Thee Stallion fell ill during her Broadway performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Tuesday night and was rushed to a New York hospital for medical evaluation.
The situation unfolded during the opening scenes of Tuesday’s show when Megan started experiencing severe illness.
Theater officials made the decision to halt the performance mid-show, apologizing to the audience and asking them to remain seated while the situation was being handled.
Her representative Didier Morais confirmed the hospitalization, stating that her symptoms were being evaluated at a local medical facility.
Close friend and hairstylist Kellon Deryck, who’s been working with her throughout the engagement, posted on X asking for prayers, writing “Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital.”

The show continued with another performer stepping in to complete the remaining scenes, ensuring the audience could still experience the full production, according to The Breakfast Club’s Loren Lorosa.

The Grammy-winning rapper had just made her stage debut in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” a week prior, stepping into the role of Zidler, becoming the first woman to ever perform the part in the show’s history.
Her appearance marked a major moment for the production, which has featured everyone from Boy George to Wayne Brady in the iconic nightclub owner role.
Megan’s brief time on stage had already made waves, with notable attendees including Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish showing up to support her historic debut.
Her performances featured her own hit records “Savage” and “Body,” giving the classic musical a fresh Hip-Hop edge that resonated with audiences during her opening week.
Her engagement is scheduled to run through May 17, 2026, but the hospitalization has raised questions about her ability to continue with the remaining performances.
