NBA Ben10 Permanently Paralyzed After Allstar JR Shooting

NBA Ben10 won’t walk again after Allstar JR allegedly shot him at a Houston restaurant, leaving him with irreversible paralysis from the waist down.
NBA Ben10 will never walk again after a bullet tore through his spine during a chaotic fight at a Houston restaurant that left him permanently paralyzed from the waist down.
The shooting happened in early April at Confessions in the Upper Kirby area, and now the man accused of pulling the trigger is facing serious state charges on top of a federal indictment.
Allstar JR, the Michigan rapper who allegedly opened fire that night, is being held in custody while prosecutors build their case against him.
The incident started in a physical altercation inside the restaurant, possibly over a necklace and a watch.
A gun fell to the floor during the scuffle, and investigators say Allstar JR picked it up and started firing.
Three people got hit that night, but Ben10 took the worst of it. After the initial shots connected, Allstar JR kept firing, then walked up close and unloaded three more rounds directly at Ben10’s body.
When the gun ran out of ammunition, Allstar JR tried to fire again at Ben10’s head.
The weapon didn’t cooperate, so he switched tactics. He pistol-whipped Ben 10 and spat on his face, according to Click2Houston. Then he ditched the gun behind a hostess stand and fled in an Escalade.
Allstar JR was arrested in Detroit last month after federal investigators caught him posting videos on social media that referenced the shooting and taunted the victims.
He even dropped a music video with bars about the incident, rapping “shootout right there in [the restaurant] now I’m two and oh.”
When Houston police interviewed him, he allegedly confessed to everything. He’s already facing federal charges for unlawfully possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, which carries up to 15 years in prison.
A new state charge of aggravated assault causing traumatic brain or spine injury reflects the permanent damage Ben10 suffered.
Ben10 was also shot again in Baton Rouge just weeks later, showing how dangerous life remains for him even after surviving this attack.
