50 Cent Trolls Jussie Smollett After Pride Performance in Harlem

50 Cent has no intention of letting Jussie Smollett live peacefully or pridefully.

50 Cent never seems to let an old beef collect dust. This time the G-Unit general took aim at Jussie Smollett after the former “Empire” star resurfaced onstage during a Pride celebration in Harlem.

The performance was supposed to be about music, community and celebration. Instead, 50 Cent said the quiet part loudly.

Sharing footage of Smollett performing on Instagram, 50 couldn’t resist taking a victory lap for his hit STARZ series “Power,” which famously battled “Empire” for ratings and cultural bragging rights during the mid-2010s.

“See I told you POWER was the s##t,” 50 wrote. “No you want to watch Empire. Now look this is all your fault. LOL.”

Classic Fif.

50 has been poking at poor Jussie ever since the actor’s highly publicized legal saga exploded in 2019. Back then, 50 memorably roasted Smollett after the actor referred to himself as the “gay Tupac.” That ain’t right.

Now, years later, it appears 50 has no interest in retiring the joke.

The actor’s appearance is a step back towards entertainment. It might be a step in the wrong direction, as singing is not his strong suit. After years largely spent away from the spotlight, he’s quietly resumed acting, directing and live performances while also becoming the subject of the Netflix documentary “The Truth About Jussie Smollett.” He beat that though.

People forget. Jussie Smollett was initially convicted in connection with allegations that he staged a hate crime, BUT the Illinois Supreme Court later overturned that conviction. Prosecutors should not have revived the criminal case after an earlier agreement had resolved it. By ANY means. The court’s decision focused on prosecutorial procedure rather than truth. Like Al Capone or somebody else we all know.

50 Cent does not seem to care.

The “Power” versus “Empire” rivalry apparently never ended. And if Jussie Smollett pops back into the headlines, Fif will be waiting.
