50 Cent’s production company G-Unit is now executive producing the Payday TV series adaptation with Vice Studios and Starbreeze Entertainment.
50 Cent is expanding his television empire with another major move, stepping in as executive producer on the upcoming “Payday” TV series through his G-Unit Film & Television banner.
The video game adaptation is being developed in partnership with Vice Studios and Starbreeze Entertainment, with the project originally announced in March 2026.
This latest venture adds to an already stacked portfolio that’s made him one of the most prolific producers in entertainment.
The “Payday” universe is built on high-stakes heist storytelling, and 50 Cent sees the potential to bring that energy to the small screen.

“G-Unit Film & TV has built cinematic crime stories that connect with audiences around the world,” he said. “Teaming up with Vice Studios and bringing the world of ‘Payday’ to the screen gives us the chance to build something big, a high-energy franchise that pushes the heist genre forward.”
His track record speaks for itself, and according to Variety, Vice Studios president Amy Powell emphasized the partnership’s authenticity.
“Vice has always been drawn to stories that live outside the lines, and Payday is exactly that kind of world,” Powell stated. “G-Unit understands what makes Payday tick, and they’re bringing a perspective that’s true to the franchise without playing it safe.”
50 Cent’s production slate has become impossible to ignore over the past few years. He’s currently executive producing “Fightland,” a London-set boxing drama on Starz that dropped in 2026, while also overseeing the “Power” franchise expansion with “Power: Origins.”
His earlier work on the original “Power” series, along with “Power Book II: Ghost,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” and “Power Book IV: Force,” established him as a serious force in prestige television.
Beyond the “Power” universe, he’s executive-produced “BMF” and “The Accomplice” with Taraji P. Henson at Peacock, and numerous documentary projects, including “Hip Hop Homicides” and “The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast.”
The “Payday” adaptation doesn’t yet have a writer or network attached, but with 50 Cent and Vice Studios behind it, that’s likely just a matter of time.
