Offset Quietly Finished a New Album While Everyone Else Was Watching the Drama

Between a high-profile divorce, public feuds and surviving a shooting, Offset has quietly accomplished something many fans overlooked—he’s already finished his next album.
How did he do this?
If it feels like Offset has been in the news more for his personal life than his music lately, you’re not imagining it. We have good news.
The Atlanta rapper has found himself at the center of headline after headline. His highly publicized split from Cardi B has played out in real time across social media. Rumors, online feuds and public speculation have often overshadowed the music. Then, in April, Offset survived a shooting outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, adding another chapter to an already turbulent year.
New facts: Offset has already finished his next album.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Creators Inc. podcast, the Migos star revealed the project is complete and rooted in his real-life experiences.
“I’m working on a new album,” Offset said. “It’s about what happens in my real life.”
Offset went right back to work after getting shot. Within days, he returned to the stage at the University of Arkansas’ Rowfest, refusing to let the incident define him. You remember that?
“The show don’t never stop at the end of the day,” he said. “I was blessed enough to be able to still move. So I’m still moving. I’m pushing. I ain’t want nobody to feel sorry for me. People get shot every day. I’m blessed. Gotta keep pushin’, like the Energizer Bunny. Keep this s### pushin’. We don’t got time to be slowing down.”

This is the follow-up to 2025’s KIARI, an album that showed a more reflective side of the rapper. He also had a surprise mixtape, Haunted by Fame, a project to fulfill contractual obligations.
Glad his life is not generating more clicks than his albums now. Especially with his relationships, internet beef or legal issues. Offset has experienced all of it over the last several months. He still a rapper. And a legend.
For now, there is no official title or release date for the new album. We’ll keep tabs on that.
When the rollout finally begins, we’ll discover that one ofbiggest stories wasn’t the drama. It was the album being made while everyone was looking the other way. YAY!
Did you notice I did not mention Cardi B? Ooops!
